Gilbert and Keen Online

The new Gilbert and Keen website went online this week. An eCommerce website selling womens clothes designed and manufactured completely within New Zealand.

The main processes involved were to integrate a shopping cart with the existing brand design, and the end result was pleasing to both myself and the client with the cart seamlessly mixing with the existing design.

Otematata Lakes Hotel

The newly re-designed Otematata Lakes Hotel website has just gone live.

The owner is a keen computer literate person who enjoys building his own websites, but over time work has ‘day job’ has interfered with the time he has to play around and keep learning online. He wanted his website to be more up to date and functional for visitors to the website, for use by the locals like the ‘community hall’ and that he could easily manage on his own.

Together we customised a default WordPress theme and Medlicott Design sorted out appropriate plugins or found weather maps and we combined to create a much more interesting website that can now be easily maintained by the owner. Because he has found WordPress so easy he has renewed his enjoyment of website design and I expect he will find things to add that we are yet to think of, but won’t have to run to me for every update.
